More Patient-Centered Features in Greene County Medical Center Website Redesign

JEFFERSON, Iowa – Greene County Medical Center is pleased to announce the launch of a new website design that integrates even more user-friendly features than ever before.

“When we began the process of working on a redesign of our website, first and foremost, we looked at this from a patient’s perspective,” explained CEO, Chad Butterfield. “Not only do we want people to be able to find the information they are looking for quickly and easily and with as few clicks as possible, we want to provide them with access to the healthcare tools they want and need.”

The new layout highlights providers and all available services as well as special events and educational information. Patients can easily access online bill payment services, log into their My UnityPoint account and set a time for a walk-in appointment at the Family Medicine Clinic through the new On My Way feature.

Philanthropy is also made easier with the new design. “From becoming a volunteer to making donations, the website is a convenient way for Greene County Medical Center supporters to sign up or submit a gift,” said Foundation Director, Nancy Houska. “Many of our patrons prefer an online portal to research and preplan their annual giving, and we are happy to be able to offer them a resource that is as simple to use as logging on to gcmchealth.com.”

With one click, users can access online employment applications and learn more about the Greene County Medical Center culture of inclusion. They can read about patient’s rights and responsibilities, our privacy practices, reference a listing of standard charges for procedures, laboratory tests and professional services and even see what the cafeteria is serving that week.
