Saddle Up for the Stethoscopes & Stetsons Greene County Medical Center Foundation Golf Tournament
by Greene County Medical Center - April 11, 2025
JEFFERSON, Iowa – Player and sponsorship registration is open for the Stethoscopes & Stetsons Greene County Medical Center Foundation annual golf tournament. The four-person, 18-hole best ball tournament is again scheduled during Jefferson’s Bell Tower Festival, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start Friday, June 13 at the Jefferson Community Golf Course. “In the spirit of the Saddle Up Bell Tower Festival theme, we are changing things up a little and adding our own western edge to the tournament," said Foundation Director, Nancy Houska. “We continue to get positive feedback on our golf outing running in conjunction with the festival and are excited about another year of fun in the sun before the late afternoon and evening events in downtown Jefferson.”
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and golfers will receive a hot breakfast. Lunch will be served at 2 p.m. with snacks and refreshments available throughout the day.
Proceeds raised at the Stethoscopes & Stetsons Foundation Golf Tournament are earmarked for equipment needs, programming and/or healthcare services at Greene County Medical Center. “Our golfers will not only have a great day on the links but will know they are giving back to our area communities through their support of capital projects, value-added services and scholarships for local students pursuing a career in any medical field,” Houska said. “Players and sponsors are also supporting the annual Bell Tower Festival as a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Jefferson Matters as seed money for their 2026 event.”
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available, regardless of play in the tournament. Golfers can register as a foursome or in pairs and the Foundation will match them up to create a four-person team.
