Extended Care at Greene County Medical Center

The Greene County Medical Center Extended Care program brings together a compassionate and dedicated team of healthcare professionals who work with families in planning and carrying out individualized care for those unable to return to a previous living arrangement. The private-pay, patient-centered program provides a more permanent, nurse-assisted living option in a warm environment.  The level of nursing assistance provided to patients in the Extended Care program does not fall under the guidelines for coverage by long-term care insurance plans or Medicaid.

Extended Care is located in a private area in the first-floor Acute wing at Greene County Medical Center. The space has been specifically designed for the comfort and convenience of patients with modern rooms, a nursing station, and inviting areas for dining and activities.
