Sleep Studies at Greene County Medical Center
Your provider may order a sleep study to determine and diagnose any sleep-related disorders. The study may be conducted at home or in a special sleep lab at Greene County Medical Center.
During the study, sensors are placed in specified locations on the body to record brainwaves, oxygen levels, heart rate, breathing and eye and leg movements before, during and after sleep. These tests can help identify if and when a patient's sleep pattern is disrupted and aid in finding the cause.
Following the sleep study, your provider reviews the results and works with the patient to develop a treatment plan for any sleep disorders diagnosed.
