Greene County Medical Center

The Greene County Board of Health is appointed by the Greene County Supervisors. Members serve three-year terms.

The Greene County Board of Health:

Supports the local public health department by leading the effort to prevent disease and improve the physical, mental and environmental health in the community with population-based services
Evaluates effectiveness, accessibility and quality of offered services
Enforces laws and regulations that protect health and ensure safety
Informs, educates and empowers community members about health issues
Encourages community partnerships to identify and solve problems
Links people to needed personal health services and assures provision of health care when otherwise unavailable
